Meet the Chartrounds Team

Patricia Harrigan Hardenbergh, MD
Medical Director of Radiation Oncology, Shaw Regional Cancer Center, Edwards, Colorado, USA
Chartrounds Founder and Award recipient of the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Improving Cancer Care Grant funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Dr. Hardenbergh completed her residency in Radiation Oncology in 1996  at Harvard Medical School and subsequently taught and pursued cancer research while on faculty at Duke University Medical Center for several years.  Her career took on new challenges when she moved to a small community practice at Shaw Regional Caner Center in rural Edwards, Colorado. The experience of straddling the worlds of academic medicine and community practice gave her insight into the need for a bridge between the two. With the ASCO Improving Cancer Care Grant 2010 , she developed the web site to connect these 2 worlds in radiation oncology: sub-specialty academic practice and general practice in the community.

She has  made contributions to the published work on national guidelines on Partial Breast Irradiation and Hypofractionated Whole Breast Irradiation, and most recently guidelines on Post-Mastectomy Radiation Therapy.  She is author and c-author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications.

She was elected to be the community physician's representative on the nominating committee for the ASTRO Board. Based on her contributions and significant service to ASTRO she received the ASTRO Fellows designation in 2017.  She has served as an examiner for the written and oral boards for the American Board of Radiology for several years. In 2017 she joined the Board of Trustees for the American Board of Radiology.
